Thorogood® will be choosing FIVE departments, with an overall size of 50 or more, to wear test their choice of one of three models of Thorogood® boots. Each department will provide 5-10 wear testers to put our shoes through their paces -- and then give us their feedback.  

Wear test departments will be selected from all entries after close of the contest application period on February 15, 2019 and will be notified via email. 

All feedback received from wear testers will be provided to Police magazine in by mid-April for publication in the June 2019 Buyers Guide issue of Police Magazine.

• Each of the wear testers must be active patrol officers who are able to provide a wide array of testing scenarios in real life situations.  
• Wear testers must be able to fit Thorogood® size range of 4-12 in whole and half sizes and 14, 15 in full sizes for men. (Thorogood® boots are unisex, so women would order two sizes down from your current size). Thorogood® will provide a representative to come to the chosen department to personally fit each wear tester, if needed.  
• All participants must fill out an online survey telling us how their shoes performed by the deadline of April 1st, 2019.  
• Departments chosen to participate in the wear test should be able to provide departmental approval to use the Department name (not necessarily individual officer names) on policemag.com and in Police Magazine. Preapproval by department will not be a requirement for participation.
